🚨 IMPORTANT ARRIVAL TIMES

ARRIVE: 10:00–11:00 AM
CHECK-IN BY: 12:00 PM

🚗 VEHICLE GATES CLOSE AT 11:30 AM — NO EXCEPTIONS!

Once the park gates close to vehicles, you will not be able to drive into the park.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY.

Sleepy Hollow traffic can be wickedly busy in October, so allow extra time — especially if you are bringing your own equipment or need time to inflate and decorate your board.

It's much better to arrive early, park and relax than to arrive late and miss the parade!

CHECK-IN

When you enter the park, a guide/volunteer will direct you to the Check-In / Gear Drop area.

Please check in at the registration table in the lower parking lot to receive:

• Your event bracelet

• Your reserved rental equipment, if applicable

Your event bracelet is required for access to the beach launch area.

🅿️ PARKING

Parking is available in the park for paddlers, vendors, staff and volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Once spaces are filled, people can park on the grass in another area of the park or exit the park to find parking elsewhere.

• Anyone who is needs to leave before gates open at 5pm can only do so if parked in the lot so they have access to the emergency exit (see map below).

We cannot guarantee a parking space in the lot, so please arrive early and carpool whenever possible.

Volunteers will be available to help direct you. Look for a volunteer wearing a bright yellow lanyard or yellow CREW shirt.

SUPS/KAYAKS

• Keep them on your vehicle until you check in.

• We will have volunteers directing you where to place your equipment based on space available, paddle experience, etc. for a staggered launch.

• We may ask you to leave it on your car until closer to the launch time.

🕐 FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

10:00–11:00 AM — Paddler arrival
11:00 AM–12:00 PM — Paddler check-in & raffle sign-up
11:30 AM — 🚨 Vehicle gates close; food vendors open to paddlers & staff
12:00 PM — Box Office opens & Festival begins
1:00–2:15 PM — Live music: Might & the Weevils
1:30–1:45 PM — Witches begin launch preparation
2:00 PM — Beach announcements with Tara Scheller, Head Witch of the Hudson & the Hollow
2:00–3:00 PM — 🧙‍♀️ SUP Witches Paddle Parade
3:00–4:30 PM — Live music: The Incumbents

🧙‍♀️ SUP WITCHES PADDLE DETAILS

We'll paddle along the shoreline with three paddle zones, allowing you to choose how far you want to venture based on your comfort level and the conditions on the day.

🌊 CHOOSE YOUR BROOM!

🧹 ONE BROOM
Stay close to the beach and enjoy the cove.
Best for beginners or anyone who wants to stay close to shore.

🧹🧹 TWO BROOMS
Paddle around the rock jetty and along the park shoreline before returning.
For intermediate paddlers.

🧹🧹🧹 THREE BROOMS
Paddle around the lighthouse and back.
For experienced paddlers who are comfortable with the conditions.

⚠️ IMPORTANT

Paddle close to shore and ONLY as far as you feel comfortable. If you see a paddler in distress, help them!

There will be safety boats on the water. Please remain aware of other vessels and watch for wakes.

Everyone will return to the beach at the end of the parade.

🚨 BEACH ACCESS — PLEASE READ!

We are using a private beach launch, and the beach gate will be locked at 3:30 PM.

Once the gate is locked, paddlers will NOT be able to access the beach launch area.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR GEAR ON THE BEACH.

If you are bringing your own equipment, make sure you collect it before the beach gate closes.

Rental equipment must be returned to the rental area, including:

• Boards

• Leashes

• PFDs

• Paddles

If you need to leave the festival before the scheduled end of the event, please speak with a crew member and use the designated emergency exit shown on the map.

🧹 STAGGERED LAUNCH

With so many witchy paddlers and kayaks joining us, we'll be doing a staggered launch, similar to last year.

We'll send paddlers onto the water in smaller groups so our crew can make sure everyone gets on the water safely and smoothly.

Tara will be the first witch on the water, followed by our approved safety group. They'll circle the cove and help keep an eye on everyone before we gather for our very important group photo! 📸🧙‍♀️

Please be patient with our crew — getting everyone safely onto the water takes a little time.

COSTUMES & WHAT TO WEAR

Wear something you can comfortably paddle in — and potentially swim in.

We recommend:

• Neoprene and/or wetsuits

• Securing loose items such as hats and costume decorations

• Keeping all decorations securely attached to your vessel

🛟 PFDs ARE REQUIRED

Every paddler must have a properly fitted personal flotation device (PFD) in accordance with applicable requirements.

We will check for required safety equipment before allowing you to launch.

🔗 LEASHES ARE REQUIRED

The Hudson is a moving body of water. If you fall from your board, your leash helps keep you connected to your board.
