summer 2026

Our SUP Yoga Teacher Training program will provide you with the necessary tools and skills to coach and guide people safely & confidently on the water for beginner stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) and SUP Yoga classes. This training has a strong emphasis on paddle skills and water safety so we can help others feel safe, empowered, and inspired on the water!

This is a 3-day course preparing you for a Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga Teacher Certification. The structure of this training provides a collaborative learning environment so attendees can learn, discover, and grow together. We will spend 3 days together in-person on and off the water, there is also an online component SUP Yoga so you can dive into the material at your own pace prior to meeting together in person. Registered Yoga Teachers with Yoga Alliance are eligible for 25 hours of continuing education credit.

This program is created and led by Rivertowns SUP & Yoga owner, Tara Scheller*. Every experience with Rivertowns SUP & Yoga is an opportunity for growth, self-discovery, and playfulness! Our goal is to build community through supportive and fun experiences that help you feel stronger, empowered, and inspired. This is the heart of our classes, our community, and our vibe… ”get inspired on water, on land, in life!”

*Tara Scheller is a Certified PaddleFit Pro Coach & PaddleFit Core Instructor for the Northeast Region, Certified SUP Yoga Instructor with Stoked Yogi, Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT-200/RYT-500), Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), Certified Chromatic Yoga Instructor with Matt Giordano, and Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT).
