Paddle in Purple Fundraiser & the Annual Bridge Lighting
PADDLE IN PURPLE shirts are available with paddle registration and/or with a donation to our team. Select your size when you register or contact Tara to request a shirt. Shirts are printed and donated by Leway Enterprises in honor of Dale Scheller.
Deadline for shirt orders is September 3, 2026.
Join our team, Rivertowns SUP & Yoga - Purple Paddlers and paddle on the Hudson River to help support the Alzheimer’s Association. We meet for launch at 5:30pm and will return to Horan’s Landing Waterfront Park by 7pm as the sun sets to watch the bridge turn purple in honor of those lost or struggling with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.

Donation: $50/paddler
Options for registration:
BYOBoard/Kayak (SUP leash and PFD are required)
SUP Rental*- Rivertowns SUP & Yoga clients ONLY: board, paddle, PFD (life vest) & safety whistle
16 and older (unless approved in advance - Contact Us for age restrictions & guidelines)
Paddlers MUST be able to swim!
PADDLE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED if participating ON WATER.
This paddle is a fundraiser, in conjunction with the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
*DUE TO INSURANCE, SUP Rentals are only available to clients who have received paddle boarding instruction from a Rivertowns SUP & Yoga Coach/Instructor.

Metered street parking available. If access to additional parking becomes available for this event, it will be shared via email to registered participants.

The Bridge Lighting Watch Party is rain or shine.
In the event of adverse weather and/or water conditions, Rivertowns SUP & Yoga will cancel the paddle and notify all registrants.
48-hr cancellation policy — due to limited availability of Rivertowns SUP & Yoga equipment, please cancel your reservation at least 48-hrs in advance so equipment can be available for others.
Donations will not be refunded for cancelled or missed appointments. All funds are donated to the Alzheimer’s Association prior to the event.
