Paddle in Purple Fundraiser & the Annual Bridge Lighting

Bridge Lighting Watch Party at Horan’s Landing - 6:00 - 8:00PM
Join our team, Rivertowns SUP & Yoga - Purple Paddlers, and paddle on the Hudson to help support the Alzheimer’s Association. We launch at 5:30pm and will return to shore at 6:30pm before the sun sets to watch the bridge turn purple in honor of those lost or struggling with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.
Donation: $50/person
Options for registration:
BYOBoard (leash and PFD are required) - kayaks also welcome!
Equipment provided (limited availability): board, paddle, PFD (life vest) & safety whistle
16 and older (unless approved in advance - contact Tara for age restrictions & guidelines)
Maximum weight capacity for our boards: 225 lbs.
Participants MUST be able to swim!
PADDLE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
This paddle is a special event, in conjunction with the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. There will be live music and food trucks at the Bridge Lighting Watch Party 6-8pm.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ!
Please read instructions thoroughly as there are multiple steps involved in registering to paddle and donating funds to the Alzheimer’s Association. No money is being collected here, all donations are made using a link for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
STEP 1 - Select the appropriate button below to paddle. Use coupon code PURPLE when you register … funds will be collected with a separate link.
STEP 2 - Select your shirt size under “Add to your appointment.” Shirts are being donated by Leway Enterprises and are to be worn by all paddlers on TEAM PURPLE PADDLERS. Deadline for shirt orders is September 1st.
STEP 3 - Use link on confirmation page (also in confirmation email) to join team Rivertowns SUP & Yoga - Purple Paddlers with the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® ... this is where you will select your donation amount. We are recommending $50.
NOTE: You DO NOT have to walk to join the team. Joining the team helps the organization to see all the people involved, raise funds, and support a very important cause.

SUP - CANCELLATION POLICY:
In the event of adverse weather and/or water conditions, Rivertowns SUP & Yoga will cancel the class and timely notify all registrants.
48-hr cancellation policy — due to limited availability of Rivertowns SUP & Yoga equipment, please cancel your reservation at least 48-hrs in advance so equipment can be available for others.
