Join our team of volunteers to clean our shoreline and river of plastics and debris!
Rivertowns SUP & Yoga is proud to co-lead this year’s event in Sleepy Hollow by paddling on the Hudson to pick up litter at the beaches of Kingsland Point Park and Horan’s Landing as well as on the Hudson in between! We are teaming up the Sustainable Sleepy Hollow/Sleepy Hollow Enviornmenal Advisory Committee and our neighbors Tarrytown Environmental Advisory Committee (TEAC) - together we can make a greater impact!
Event is RAIN or SHINE - if weather is unsuitable for ON WATER cleanup, we will focus on the beaches. ON WATER volunteers must have paddle experience and neoprene is recommended.

Test the waters and your balance by stepping on a paddle board with Rivertowns SUP & Yoga. We’ll be offering brief sessions of Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) with teasers for SUP Yoga, and the signature PaddleFit class. Not a full class experience, but enough to “get your feet wet” and perhaps leave you wanting more!

Adventure awaits as we gather at The Barley Beach House and hit the high seas of the Long Island Sound. All paddling pirates will be led by Sea Captain Tara Scheller and her Rivertowns SUP Crew. Join us for a fun-filled day of paddling like pirates and building sandcastles for a cause, spreading hope and making a difference!

Our SUP Yoga Teacher Training & PaddleFit Core Certification will provide you with the necessary tools and skills to coach and guide people safely & confidently on the water for stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), SUP Yoga, and SUP fitness classes. This training has a strong emphasis on paddle skills and water safety so we can help others feel safe, empowered, and inspired on the water!
This is a 3-day course and includes 2 days of Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga Teacher Training and a 1-day PaddleFit Core Certification, so you get TWO certifications in ONE! The structure of this training provides a collaborative learning environment so attendees can learn, discover, and grow together. We will spend 3 days together in-person on and off the water, there is also an online component for both SUP Yoga and PaddleFit Core trainings so you can dive into the material at your own pace prior to meeting together in person.
This program is created and led by Rivertowns SUP & Yoga owner, Tara Scheller, in collaboration with PaddleFit - a nationally recognized SUP coaching system & global community of coaches. Every experience with Rivertowns SUP & Yoga is an opportunity for growth, self-discovery, and most importantly FUN! Our goal is to build community through supportive and fun experiences that help you feel stronger, empowered, and inspired. Join us in celebrating the history of Kingsland Point Park and the revitalization of the Hudson River with the first annual Mermaid Festival. This event aims to raise awareness about our community’s needs for river youth engagement, water access, and water safety education.
Organized by the Sleepy Hollow Project and in partnership with Riverkeeper, this family friendly event will be filled with fun activities, history, environmental education, vendors, food, live music, and of course… a Mermaid Parade both on land and ON WATER!

Paddle in Purple Alzheimer’s Fundraiser & Annual Bridge Lighting Event Returns!
Join our team, Rivertowns SUP & Yoga - Purple Paddlers, and paddle on the Hudson then return to shore to watch the bridge turn purple in honor of those lost or struggling with Alzheimer’s or Dementia.
Don’t want to paddle? You can still donate to the fundraiser! All proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
